Mark Deramo, MD - Family Medicine Faculty
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Mark received his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program, and in June 2004 completed a fellowship in Faculty Development at UPMC McKeesport. Mark has a special interest in evidence-based holistic medicine. He has two cats (Guinness and Snickers) and likes to wear purple. He collects salt-water fish and corals. He’s competed in two Marine Corps marathons, reads science-fiction/fantasy, and is an amateur cook, not because he loves to cook but because he loves to eat. Mark is especially fond of desserts and writes the popular restaurant review for CWFM’s monthly employee newsletter.
